Day 27 - Queen Elizabeth (The Golden Age)

Today, class was conducted as per normal. The shopping mood in me was still strong and I really needed to satisfy its hunger. =(

As Ms Neo promised, we were going to watch a famous Oscar winning movie, Queen Elizabeth (The Golden Age) to learn more about the chapter that we are currently studying on; Leadership and Motivation. The short 15 minutes clip that we watched, depicts the war between the religious difference between the New England and Spain. Spain is trying to convince the people of New England to stick to their catholic beliefs and that Elizabeth I should not be crowned queen of England. So a war began when Spain is trying to take over England. During the invasion, Queen Elizabeth was trying to show her leadership by sticking to her conviction by not listening to her ministers. Also, during the final fight between the Spain's army and England's Army, she gave a motivational speech to her army, to make them want to fight for her.

After watching the short 15 minutes clip, we are told to write a report on how Queen Elizabeth motivates yet controlled her people. After watching the clip, we continued with class as per usual.

Reflection

After watching the short clip about how a nation's leader motivates the nation to fight for its freedom, it was very similar to a project manager has to motivates his / her team to complete the task to be on time. Therefore, this can be a real life experience for me to learn how a leader operates on a daily basis.

Loves, Charmaine
